Robin Greenstein in Concert @ Deer Creek Coffeehouse

Location: 1022 Main St., Darlington - Date: Saturday, October 10 @ 7:30 pm - Suggested Donation: $10-Adults, $5-Youth

Robin Greenstein is a singer-songwriter from NYC whose music (guitar/banjo) is a mix of folk, pop, rock, blues, country and jazz. She calls her music “Acousticness”. In a show, you might hear a jazz standard, a blues song, or an instrumental banjo dance tune scattered among her original compositions. Her music has the musical sophistication of James Taylor with the lyrical sensitivity of Joni Mitchell, and strong vocals like Linda Ronstadt or blues-influenced like Bonnie Raitt. Robin has won several folk competitions countrywide, as recently as the 2015 South Florida Folk Festival, and was a finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, the premier songwriting festival in the country. Two of her Cd’s, “Images of Women 1 and 2”, contain mainly traditional songs focused on women. Two others, “Slow Burn” and “Acousticness”, contain mostly folk/poop tunes of the Linda Ronstadt/Carole King flavor. (www.robingreenstein.com)
