Sobriety Checkpoint in Cecil County This Weekend, Police Say
Officers will be looking for impaired drivers in Cecil and Harford counties this weekend.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — There will be a sobriety checkpoint in Cecil County this weekend.
Maryland State Police announced that the checkpoint will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Officers from around Cecil County will be participating in the initiative, with the goal of taking impaired drivers off the road.

In Maryland, the legal blood alcohol level for alcohol consumption is .08 percent.
Patrols throughout Cecil County Saturday will be focused on identifying impaired drivers, officials said.

A holiday patrol along US 40 in Cecil County before Thanksgiving yielded two arrests for impaired driving, one for drug possession and one for a warrant — plus officers said they issued more than 100 warnings.
Over in Harford County, the sheriff's office will be conducting a checkpoint there as well this Saturday.
