Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Cecil County
Watch out for slippery roads due to potential snow and ice accumulations in Cecil County on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

CECIL COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Cecil County. The advisory calls for snow and ice overnight that could cause slippery roads Tuesday morning.
The winter weather advisory lasts until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, and was issued before midnight.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected overnight into daybreak due to snow and freezing rain.

Up to 1 inch of snow may accumulate, and up to 0.1 inch ice could also build up during the advisory period, according to the National Weather Service
The winter weather advisory applies to parts of northeast Maryland, northern Delaware, central and southern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania.

Freezing rain will eventually change to rain from south to north before tapering off late Tuesday morning, according to the advisory.
