How to Get to the Maryland State Fair
Light rail, bus and parking information for the 2014 Maryland State Fair in Timonium.

The Maryland State Fair starts Friday in Timonium, and the Maryland Transit Administration encourages people to use public transportation to get there.
“Light rail is one of the best options,” the Maryland Transit Administration said in a statement.
Light Rail: The Timonium light rail stop is within walking distance to the fairground entrance, according to a statement from the Maryland Transit Administration.

During the fair—which runs from Aug. 22 to Sept. 1—the light rail trains will leave Timonium at 11 p.m. daily.
There will be off-peak service between 7 and 11 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 24; Sunday, Aug. 31; and Monday, Sept. 1, which is Labor Day.

Bus: Fairgoers can also take the No. 9 bus line, which originates at International Circle in Hunt Valley, to get to the fair as well. Bus tickets are $1.60 one-way. See the schedule.
Parking: Limited parking will be available at the Deereco Road Park and Ride lot on a first-come, first-served basis for free. There will also be limited parking at the fairgrounds itself for $3. Drivers will not be able to turn left into the fairgrounds so they must approach from the north on York Road or from the east on Timonium Road.
The Maryland State Fair is located at 2200 York Road in Lutherville-Timonium. It runs from Friday, Aug. 22, to Monday, Sept. 1. Admission is $8 per person, $6 for senior citizens and $3 for children ages 6-11. Tickets can be purchased online or at the fair. See the fair schedule here.
