Life & Breath Foundation's Flip Flop Festivus Returning Sept. 20

Resort Casual Event Benefits Sarcoidosis Community & Raises Funds for Research

ELLICOTT CITY, Md.The Life and Breath Foundation will present its 11th annual signature fundraiser, Flip Flop Festivus, Friday, Sept. 20, from 7:00 to 11:30 p.m., at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore (200 International Dr. - 21202) in Harbor East.

A repeatedly sold out event with over 200 guests, Flip Flop Festivus offers an elegant night on the town in a resort casual atmosphere. Past attendees have included former professional athletes and media personalities such as Qadry Ismail, Brad Jackson, Gheorghe Muresan, Harvey Grant, Wally Williams, Ed Norris, Walt Williams, Keith Booth, Pete Gilbert and Keith Mills.

Taking place in the hotel’s Cobalt Ballroom, the event will feature sumptuous cuisine and cocktails – including a bourbon tasting, casino games, raffle prizes and an exciting live auction of highly sought-after sports and travel packages. Guests also can dance to the sounds of DJ Lyndon “Smoky” Lansdowne from The Starboard in Dewey Beach.

New this year is a special performance by Reggie Rice, three-time Comedy Magician of the Year. Rice has been the opening act for Jordin Sparks and First Lady Michelle Obama five times, and has been featured on Travel Channel performing his magic for hundreds of thousands all over the world. As a Sarcoidosis patient, he also has a special connection with the Life and Breath Foundation.

“Whether you know someone with Sarcoidosis or just want to enjoy a night filled with great music, magic, a one-of-a-kind auction, amazing food and dancing, we invite you to join us at Flip Flop Festivus,” said Sean Hull, president of the Life and Breath Foundation.

“It’s a party with a purpose to raise awareness of Sarcoidosis and help us fund additional research and assist patients, their family and the medical community in handling Sarcoidosis,” added Hull, who established the Life and Breath Foundation after losing his mother (at age 59) to Sarcoidosis following her 13-year struggle with the disease.

Founded in 1998, the Life and Breath Foundation’s mission is to provide the Sarcoidosis community with the vital resources needed to manage their medical care and to offer a supportive environment where they can be empowered.
