26th Annual Strawberry Festival at Potomac United Methodist Church

It’s hard to believe but the women of the Potomac United Methodist Church are celebrating 26 years of The Strawberry Festival! In 1990, a group of women at Potomac United Methodist Church founded the first PUMC Strawberry Festival, an event filled with delicious strawberry desserts, a silent auction, hand painted jean jackets, kids games, and “attic treasures”. Over the past two and a half decades, the event has become steadfast tradition in the Potomac community. Last year, we welcome over 1,000 attendees and raised over $20,000 to assist local organizations that support women and children.

This year’s event will include:

• Vendor Alley : A variety of unique vendors to meet all your shopping needs! Past vendors have included: contemporary clothing, custom-made jewelry, Peruvian chocolate, French linens, urban gardening, and much more! You’ll have fun choosing items for gifts or personal indulgence.
• The Silent Auction: Bid on sports tickets and restaurant certificates, as well as travel destinations, vacation homes, rare experiences and other exciting items donated by members of the PUMC community.
• Home Treasures: Search our collection of estate sale items and home furnishings – quality items at discounted prices!
• Chic Boutique: Shop a huge selection of fashions for women and children’s “gently used” brand labels.
• Kids’ Game Room : Your kids will especially enjoy playing in our huge game room and participating in our cake walk.
• Stay for lunch! We offer favorite lunch items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork
• Famous Strawberry Desserts! Don’t miss what we are most known for! Treat yourself to our giant, homemade Strawberry Shortcake dessert topped with ice cream and homemade whipped cream!! Customers come for miles just for this famous delectable!

Potomac United Methodist Church is located ¼ mile north of Potomac Village, at the intersection of Falls& South Glen Road. From the Beltway, take River Road exit, towards Potomac, and head north on Falls Road from Potomac Village. If you are coming from the north, take I-270 south, exit onto Falls Road. From Bethesda, take Old Georgetown Road to Democracy Blvd which leads directly to our church.
