After 12 Years, Breadsmith of Potomac Closes

POTOMAC, MD — Breadsmith of Potomac has shut its doors after 12 years in business.

The company, which bakes artisan breads and sweets, made the announcement on its Facebook page last week.

"Our current location was scheduled for demolition as part of a larger remodel within our current shopping center and we were unable to secure a new location for our bakery within this updated development. This, in addition to the pandemic, was the reason we have decided to close," Breadsmith wrote.

The bakery was located at 7937 Tuckerman Lane.
