Author talk, on the true story of his father, fighting in four different armies during World War II

Free, open to all program, Friday, Nov., 3, 12:30, hosted by Potomac Community Village

We all know stories of national and military leaders who led their countries through the Second World War and stories of some of the military units that participated in major battles. At a free, open-to-all Lunch & Learn, on Friday, Nov. 3, Potomac Community Village presents author Eric Lichota, who tells a different kind of story of war in Five Uniforms. It's the true story of his father, Kaz, caught up in the German invasion of Poland as a young boy, and separated from his family. It is the story of a very young man who fought his way across Europe in four different armies, trying to stay alive, and in the process transforming himself from an illiterate youth to a multi-lingual leader.

The program, Friday, November 3, 12:30 p.m., being offered in recognition of Veterans Day, is at the Potomac Library, 10101 Glenolden Dr, Potomac. RSVPs requested by Wed., Nov 1, at 240-221-1370 or info@PotomacCommunityVillage.org. Attendees may bring their own brown bag lunches, Potomac Community Village will provide beverages and dessert.
