“He Who Laughs, Lasts” to be featured at Sept 14 Potomac Community Village event

Laughter, humor and fun is the focus of a free, open to all program, 7 p.m. at the Potomac Community Center

By shortening the famous quote into "He Who Laughs, Lasts," local humorist Helen Abrahams twists the meaning in a profound way, making it much more relevant to her older audiences. Thanks to guest speaker Ms. Abrahams, members and friends of Potomac Community Village can look forward to an evening of jokes and laughter at a program set for Thursday, September 14, 7 p.m. at the Potomac Community Center, 11315 Falls Road, Potomac. The program is free and open to all!

In an entertaining presentation, including music, Ms. Abrahams will define humor, its uses, the characteristics needed to develop a sense of humor (or S.O.H.) and how to maintain humor in one’s life.

When asked how she found this particular niche, Ms. Abrahams called herself an optimist and responded, “I like to use humor in everything I do, because I believe in it.”
