Herbert Hoover Middle School Presents 'Into the Woods Jr.'

The Brothers Grimm head to Broadway by way of Potomac as Herbert Hoover Middle School presents the wonderful, much loved and hugely popular fairytale musical Into the Woods Jr., directed and choreographed by Patricia B. Groisser. An epic story about wishes, family and the choices we make. Sondheim and Lapine offer up a cockeyed musical fairytale complete with all your most loved characters portrayed by a cast of 48 talented Hoover Students. Set design and construction headed by an amazing team of parent volunteers: Lynn Hagger, Mary Anne Hays, Andrew Huck, Heather O’Donovan and Jim Vagonis; the professional companies CYM Media & Entertainment and Gene’s Costumes - not to mention scores of student, parent and teacher volunteers - all come together to bring you wonderful musical entertainment, mysterious special effects and other surprises!

The show opens on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 8pm with additional performances, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 8pm and a special Sunday matinee geared towards younger audience members on June 5th at 2:30pm. Mesmerized children of all ages can hug a princess, take a selfie with a wolf or hold on to Little Red Riding Hood’s basket! As well as ask the cast members questions and get autographs from these future stars and starlets!
