Indecent Exposure, Trespassing Charges Dropped Against Delegate

Bethesda legislator Ariana Kelly reportedly quarreled with her ex-husband, court documents say. The issue is moving to family court.

Criminal charges have been dropped against a Bethesda member of the Maryland House of Delegates who was arrested for allegedly exposing her breasts during a confrontation with her ex-husband and his fiancée.

Delegate Ariana M. Kelly, 38, was charged June 27 with trespassing and indecent exposure, according to Maryland online court records. The reported actions sprang from a dispute when Kelly dropped her children at her ex-husband’s home in Bethesda. The couple divorced in November.

Instead, the confrontation is headed to family court, State’s Attorney’s spokesman Ramon Korionoff said in a statement Tuesday, reports WTOP.

According to court documents, Kelly was upset to find her ex-husband’s fiancée at the home, and she wouldn’t leave until she spoke to her former husband, Barak Sanford.

The Washington Post quotes charging documents that allege Kelly rang the doorbell numerous times, pounded on Sanford’s door, and then exposed her breasts in the direction of his cell phone.
