Meet and Talk with Eleanor Roosevelt, Oct. 19, 7 p.m.
A Special Free Presentation with Actress Linda Kenyon, hosted by Potomac Community Village

Through the magic of theatre and the imagination, Potomac Community Village brings Eleanor Roosevelt directly into a conversation with attendees on October 19th, at the Potomac Community Center. Seniors Theatre performance of: "A Life Of My Own: Meeting Eleanor Roosevelt," stars Linda Kenyon in a one-woman show tracing the evolution of the former First Lady from a retiring young girl to a wise and purposeful world figure.
"I am so thrilled that I can put my years of professional performances in radio, stage, film and television to creating a theatrical experience without having people come to an actual theatre," said Ms. Kenyon. "We can make the world of the theatre come alive anywhere, I just need an audience," she added.
Since 1988, the Seniors Theatre has been dedicated to providing a range of high quality theatrical experiences to senior citizens, making the world of theater come alive without props or its own performing space. Stripped to the characters and the words, professional actors and gifted playwrights bring performances to places where seniors can congregate. Directed by founder Ed Starr, this meeting with Eleanor Roosevelt was written especially for Linda Kenyon who, while traveling on a train as a young college student, actually met and had a conversation with Eleanor Roosevelt . Ms. Kenyon comes from a theatrical family with an acting mother and a scenic designer father and trained at both Arena and Folger Theatres. After raising a family, she began her career in radio and has performed in numerous stage, film and television appearances since the 1980's.
