Dwayne Haskins Of Potomac Named Finalist For Heisman Trophy
Dwayne Haskins of Potomac was named one of three finalists for the 84th Heisman Trophy Monday.

POTOMAC, MD — Dwayne Haskins of Potomac was named one of three finalists for the 84th Heisman Trophy Monday. The Ohio State quarterback is joined by Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa and Oklahoma's Kyler Murray.
All three quarterbacks are invited Saturday to the award ceremony in New York City, where the winner will be revealed. This is the 16th time in the last 19 years that a quarterback has won the award, according to The Associated Press.
The Heisman Trophy is the most prestigious award a college football player can get. Finalists are picked based on the percentage of votes they get from 929 voters, usually sports journalists and past winners.

Haskins, who is now a sophomore at Ohio State, graduated from Bullis High School in Potomac in 2016.
