SoberRide Offers Free Rides for St. Patrick's Day Partiers
Residents in Montgomery and Prince George's counties can call for a free ride home until 4 a.m. Wednesday.

If your St. Patrick’s Day gameplan includes alcohol consumption, Montgomery and Prince George’s County residents can use the SoberRide program to get home safely.
The Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s 2015 St. Patrick’s Day SoberRide will be offered from 4 p.m. Tuesday until 4 a.m. March 18.

To receive a free cab ride home (up to a $30 fare), call 800.200.8294. AT&T customers may dial #WRAP from their wireless phones. You must be 21 or older to use the SoberRide service.
All requests for SoberRide service must be called to and dispatched from 1.800.200.8294. Do not call a taxi company directly for SoberRide service, because the ride will not be covered under this program.

Since 1993, WRAP has provided more than 62,182 safe rides home. Currently, SoberRide operates during the December/January holiday season, St. Patrick’s Day, Independence Day and Halloween.
All calls must originate in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, as well as the cities of Rockville, Bowie, College Park, Gaithersburg, Greenbelt and Takoma Park.
You cannot reserve a SoberRide or schedule a pickup in advance. The participating cab company in Montgomery County is Barwood, Inc. and Silver Cab of Prince George’s County serves that region, according to the release.
