But while many county offices and facilities are closed for a day off, Montgomery County will host its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, according to Montgomery Community Media. Residents throughout the county will have the opportunity to volunteer for various service projects.

“It’s a way for people to get out and do something and learn more about ongoing services,” Molly Callaway, director of the Montgomery County Volunteer Center, told Montgomery Community Media. “It’s also a great way for families to do things together.”
