Free, Fun-Filled Family Festival This Saturday

Play games, jump on the moon bounce and explore the vehicles that keep our community moving at Pepco's World of Wheels for CASA!

You’re invited to a fun-filled festival that helps raise money to recruit, train and supervise Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for America’s most vulnerable boys and girls- foster children.

The 7th Annual Pepco World of Wheels for CASA will be a great chance for for families to see and explore a variety of vehicles, have fun and play games… all while supporting Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County and helping to bring a voice to more children in foster care!

Council Member Deni Taveras is generously sponsoring admission so the event will be free to the public! So, bring your kids, grand-kids, neighbors and friends!

World of Wheels will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 10am-2pm at DeMatha High School at 4313 Madison Street in Hyattsville.

We look forward to welcoming a variety of vehicles including a Pepco utility truck, the TurboHaul truck, the Amerigroup community health vehicle, the Metro Police’s Mobile Command Unit, emergency vehicles and more!

Tickets will be on sale for moon bounces and carnival games. Every game player is a winner, courtesy of CW & Sons Infrastructure.

Texas Roadhouse in Bowie will have yummy food on sale and a portion of proceeds will benefit our Court Appointed Special Advocate.

New this year- thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Purple Line Transit Partners and Purple Line Transit Constructors we will hold a Sensory Hour from 10am-11am with lower noise levels for guests with special needs and sensory sensitivities.

We will have performances and entertainment from Panlara Steel Pan Orchestra at 11am and “Bout dat Dance" at 1pm.

By providing a voice to children in the foster care system, it is our goal to promote the timely placement of the children we serve in safe, permanent homes.
