Lanham Man Shot To Death In Riverdale: Police

RIVERDALE PARK, MD — Homicide detectives with the Prince George's County Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Sunday morning in Riverdale, according to a police release. Police identified the victim as Keith Donnell Jenkins 49, of Lanham.

Patrol officers responded around 10:45 a.m., to the 6300 block of Carters Lane for the report of a shooting. They found Jenkins outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Following a preliminary investigation, PGPD detectives believe this is not a random crime. They are working to identify a suspect and a motive for the shooting.
