Metro Service Open Late for Redskins Preseason Game

Trains will run one hour later to get NFL fans home after the preseason matchup of the Washington Redskins vs. the New England Patriots.

Metro says its rail system will stay open an additional hour to help riders get home from Thursday’s Washington Redskins’ preseason game at FedEx Field.

Event organizers will pay for the extra hour of service when Washington plays the New England Patriots. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Riders should enter the system at Morgan Boulevard or Largo Town Center stations no later than 12:20 a.m. to ensure that they make the last Blue or Silver Line trains in the direction of Franconia-Springfield or Wiehle-Reston East.
