National Night Out 2017 In Riverdale Park
Communities throughout Prince George's County have National Night Out events planned for Aug. 1.

RIVERDALE PARK, MD — Riverdale Park residents and police will celebrate neighborhoods and get to know each other Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the 34th annual National Night Out observances.
National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, is designed to generate neighborhood support and participation in crime prevention efforts and to enhance police and community relations, officials said.
Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, many communities celebrate with a events to help neighbors get to know one another and to build community spirit.

Riverdale Park residents can join in on the fun from 6-8 p.m. at the Riverdale Park Police Department, located at 5004 Queensbury Rd. There will be food, games, giveaways, music and more. The event is free all community members are welcome.
