Pedestrian Killed Crossing Riverdale Park Street
Prince George's County Police say a 54-year-old man died while walking across a Riverdale Park street Sunday.

RIVERDALE PARK, MD — A Prince George's County pedestrian died Sunday night when he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Riverdale Park, police said.
Authorities released the victim's name late Monday as 54-year-old Jose Berrios.
Prince George’s County Police say the accident happened about 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue at River Road.

Officers arrived to find Berrios suffering from critical injuries. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say a car heading northbound on Kenilworth Avenue struck Berrios as he tried to cross the street. He was not in a crosswalk at the time.

The driver of the car remained on the scene, police say, and she was not hurt.
The name and hometown of the driver has not been released.
