Photos: Project Natale at Jazz on the Lawn
Jazz on the Lawn returned to beautiful weather on Wednesday at Riversdale.
Friends and families gathered at Wednesday evening to relax, enjoy good food and listen to live jazz.
kicked off its 11th year with a performance by local jazz group Project Natale.
"What better way to bring people together," said Edward Day, the program director for the Riversdale Historical Society. "It's our gift to the community."

The event is held one Wednesday every month from June through August from 7 to 8 p.m., and it's a chance for people of all ages to come out and enjoy the beautiful weather, Day said.
Ann Wass, the history and museum specialist for the Riversdale Historical Society, says they usually see anywhere from 200-300 people, and as Wednesday's concert began, there were already over 100.

Refreshments are sold by Day says people are also welcome to bring their own picnic baskets with their food and drinks of choice.
As for the music, he says that his only requirement in finding a band is that they play straight forward jazz.
"Jazz is delightful for everyone," Day explained.
