Prince George's Deputy CAO Leaves Position for Arlington After 6 Months

Victor Hoskins will leave his role in Prince George’s County to pursue a new position leading a staff of 80 early next year in Arlington, Va.

As he moves forward as the Director of Arlington Economic Development, Hoskins will bring along his 25 years of management background and experience authorizing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of projects.

While serving as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Economic Development and Public Infrastructure of Prince George’s County for the past six months, Hoskins oversaw multiple agencies with over 1,100 employees and $250 million budget.

”I’m excited to join the Arlington team, and look forward to marketing a County known across the nation as a leader in transit-oriented, sustainable development,” Hoskins said in a news release. “I can’t wait to be a part of this innovative government that holds itself to the highest ethical standards and promotes a healthy work-life balance.”

Before Hoskins’ PG position he was the deputy mayor for planning and economic development in Washington, D.C. During that time he completed or began the construction of 87 public-private partnership projects that grew to the value of $7.5 billion.

Hoskins will begin his new role Jan. 20.

“Victor will bring a wealth of experience, creativity and dynamism to our team. He will be leading AED at a time of increased challenges and opportunities for Arlington,” Arlington County Manager Barbara Donnellan said.
