Traffic Alert: Overnight Lane Closures Continue on I-495

Work crews will temporarily close lanes on the inner loop of the I-495 (Capital Beltway) bridge over Suitland Parkway in Prince George’s County tonight and Thursday night.

State Highway Administration crews will close one lane at 9 p.m., two lanes at 10 p.m. and three lanes at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen no later than 5 a.m. both mornings, according to a news release.

The closures will allow crews to repair a deck puncture discovered during routine maintenance operations. The work was originally scheduled to take place last week, but was rescheduled for this week.
