UPDATE: Woman Stabbed to Death Identified, Another Injured

Prince George's County Police say the stabbings of two women early Monday do not appear to be a random assault.

LANDOVER, MD — Authorities have identified a woman who died from stab wounds suffered early Monday.

Prince George’s County Police say the stabbings were reported just before 3 a.m. in the 3100 block of 75th Avenue in Landover. Officers arrived to find two women suffering from stab wounds.

Santa Lizama, 23, of 75th Avenue in Landover was pronounced dead from her injuries at the scene. Detectives are following strong leads in her murder, which they do not believe was a random act.

Officers found Lizama in her apartment suffering from stat wounds, while a second woman suffered injuries that appear to be non-life threatening.

Investigators say a suspect stabbed both women and then ran from the apartment.
