What's Up With the Green Line: Final Weekend of Track Work for 2011

Metro has Green Line trains single tracking it between College Park and Greenbelt this weekend.

Green Line trains will use a single track over the weekend between College Park and Greenbelt due to track inspection. Metro has also announced that every other train will turn back at College Park station during daytime hours.

This weekend's work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday night.

The Green Line traffic may be affected by Yellow Line users hopping aboard the Green Line north of Mt. Vernon Square. Metro states Yellow Line riders should use the Green Line to complete their trips if they’re traveling to or from stations north of Mt. Vernon Square, as throughout the weekend, Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square only.
