Woman Dead After Crashing Into House, Evading Police: Cops

According to Prince George's County Police Department, a passenger inside the vehicle also suffered minor injuries.

BOWIE, MD – A woman is dead is University Park after police said she lost control of her SUV and struck a house. According to Prince George’s County Police Department, a passenger inside the vehicle also suffered minor injuries.

Police said the collision occurred approximately at 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of College Heights Drive and Steed Court. Prior to the accident, police said the driver attempted to elude police following a traffic stop and officer had conducted.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. According to police, no one inside the house was injured.

Following the crash, detectives arrived on scene early Monday morning to determine the circumstances that lead up to the crash, police added.

The driver’s identity has not yet been made public.
