$3.8M In Coronavirus Relief Aid Coming To County Restaurants
Montgomery County has approved another $3.8 million in coronavirus relief aid for struggling food and beverage establishments.
ROCKVILLE, MD — More coronavirus relief aid is on the way for struggling Montgomery County restaurants.
On Tuesday, the County Council authorized $3.8 million in funding — with grants up to $10,000 to help cover operating costs and other expenses incurred because of the pandemic.
This is the county's third round of relief grants for food and beverage establishments. In the first two rounds — in December 2020 and February 2021 — Montgomery County provided grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to more than 900 restaurants.

The funding comes from the RELIEF Act of 2021, which was passed by the Maryland General Assembly and signed into law by Gov. Larry Hogan.
