ALDI To Host Montgomery County Hiring Events

GAITHERSBURG, MD — ALDI, a German-based grocery store chain, is hiring at all of its stores in Maryland, including three stores in Montgomery County, and hosting hiring events across the state from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.

ALDI is seeking store associates starting at $12 per hour, shift managers $17.75 per hour and manager trainee positions. Store managers can earn $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Employees working an average 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program.

Known for offering wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry, ALDI is hosting the one-day hiring spree for all store locations in Maryland, the Washington, D.C., area and Northern Virginia. Positions open are:

• Store Associate, $12 to $13.50 per hour (depending on location), plus a pay increase after 6 months of employment
• Shift Manager, $12 to $13.50 (depending on location), plus a $4.50 per hour premium when performing manager duties; base rate will increase after 6 months of employment.
• Manager Trainee, $45,000 to $62,000 per year, depending on location ($22 to $25 per hour, averaging 45 hours per week), with an opportunity to earn $70,000 to $90,000 per year as a store manager

Job Requirements: Must be 18 years or older to apply; a high school diploma or GED preferred; must be available to work any time between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Sunday; retail experience preferred; management experience preferred for manager trainees; drug screening and background check; ability to lift 45 pounds.
