Montgomery County police was still investigating an early Saturday morning accident in which Nashon Brian Barnett, 26, of Rockville was killed.
He was riding in a car driven by Danielle Delores Donaldson, 21, also of Rockville. She sustained minor injuries, Montgomery police said.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006, Hyundai Sonata was traveling westbound on Veirs Mill Road. For reasons still under investigation, the Hyundai Sonata left the roadway at the intersection of Twinbrook Parkway and traveled onto the center median of the roadway. On the median, the vehicle struck a tree and road sign, police said.
