Athleta Set To Open First Montgomery County Location Next Year

ROCKVILLE, MD — Athleta, a popular women's activewear and lifestyle brand, will open its first Montgomery County location in Rockville's Congressional Plaza next year.

The company — which sells everything from sports bras and yoga pants to cardigans and jumpsuits — will take over a 5,000-square-foot space near The Fresh Market, according to Federal Realty Investment Trust, owner of Congressional Plaza. It is set to open in the spring of 2021.

Athleta joins a growing list of fitness-focused brands moving to the Rockville shopping center. Two fitness boutiques, CorePower Yoga and Orangetheory Fitness, are set to open next year in Congressional Plaza's new fitness quarter, FITRow.
