Fall Festivals This Weekend In Montgomery County
Outdoor events around Montgomery County this weekend include Rocktoberfest and the Takoma Park Street Festival.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The first weekend of October is a busy one around Montgomery County for outdoor festivals. We've rounded up several events going on in your communities on Saturday and Sunday.
SATURDAY, OCT. 6
- Plum Gar Fall Fest, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plum Gar Community Recreation Center, 19561 Scenery Drive, Germantown. This free event features food vendors, fall arts & crafts, live music, carnival games, a petting zoo and much more.
- Taste of Bethesda, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle. This food and music festival is celebrating 29 years of diverse and delectable cuisine offered by Bethesda's restaurant community. Five stages will showcase musical and cultural performances. - Rocktoberfest, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rockville Town Center, 111 Maryland Ave. This annual Oktoberfest celebration features two stages of entertainment, German food, artisans and activities for kids. Local breweries will offer beer for sale. Free parking will be available throughout the town center. Admission is free.
SUNDAY, OCT. 7

- Takoma Park Street Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park, Md., to Carroll Street in Takoma, D.C. The 37th annual Takoma Park Street Festival will host a mix of local artists offering paintings, photographs, pottery, silk-screening, stained glass, jewelry and much more. A variety of food vendors will also participate, and 18 bands on three stages will play all day. For more info, click here.
- PIKEtoberfest, noon to 4 p.m. at Pike & Rose, 11810 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda. Enjoy live music, kids' activities, craft beer, a sand castle exhibit, a hay maze and much more. Admission is free; for more info, click here.
