Grocery Store Run Leads To $1.4M Lottery Win For Rockville Woman
A 20-year-old Rockville woman won $1.4 million after buying a lottery ticket at a grocery store.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Most people walk out of the grocery store with less money than they came in with. But that wasn't the case for one lucky Rockville resident.
The 20-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, was shopping at Giant Food in Rockville when she bought a winning lottery ticket worth $1.4 million.
"I just got lucky," the Multi-Match winner told Maryland lottery officials. "I was very surprised, I was not expecting it at all."

When asked how'd she spend her winnings, the woman said she wanted to explore various investment opportunities.
The winning ticket was sold at 625 Hungerford Drive. As a result, the Giant Food location will receive a $1,400 bonus from state lottery officials.
