Major Flooding In Montgomery County Possible This Weekend

The ground is still saturated from all the past rain we've gotten, so this new rainfall means flooding is likely.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — You thought the worst was over when it came to rain, didn't you? Well, unfortunately, it's coming back with a vengeance this weekend in Montgomery County, according to forecasts.

Saturday could be particularly drenching, with up to a half inch of rain possible, the National Weather Forecasts says. Up to two inches could fall between now and the middle of next week.

While we aren't likely to see constant rain, showers and storms will probably pop up in the afternoon and evening through Monday at least, predicts the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang.
