Montgomery County residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic can tune into Council President Sidney Katz's business briefing on Oct. 2.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Council President Sidney Katz will be hosting an Oct. 2 business briefing on Zoom for residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The virtual meeting — set to take place Friday at 12:30 p.m — will feature Kelly Leonard, moderator for Montgomery Community Media's Small Business Network, and Katheryn Hoerster, owner and operator of Nothing Bundt Cakes in Silver Spring. The guests will discuss how local businesses are navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, the efforts of local businesses to support the community, and the county and state resources available for local businesses that need financial assistance.
"Local businesses are nothing less than the backbone of our county's economy, and they will play a critical role in our long-term recovery," said Katz. "As a former small business owner, I recognize that now is the time for the county government and for residents to rally around and support our local businesses."
