Motorcyclist Dies In Crash Near Olney: Police
The Montgomery County police are investigating a collision Saturday night near Olney that took the life of a 56-year-old motorcycle rider.

OLNEY, MD — An Ashton man died Saturday evening after his motorcycle collided with an SUV on a road east of Olney, according to the Montgomery County Police Department. An ambulance took Gregory Viccharelli, 56, of Astoria Lane from the scene of the accident to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police and fire and rescue personnel responded at about 7 p.m. Saturday to the accident on Ashton Road (Route 108), between Ashland Drive and Tucker Road. They found three injured adults: Viccharelli and the driver and a passenger of a Toyota RAV4, which had collided with Viccharelli's 1995 Harley Davidson.
The police identified the driver of the RAV4 as Jae Li Yang, a 59-year-old man who lives on Deer Run in Laurel, and his passenger as Ki Chan Chi, a 92-year-old woman who lives on Olney-Sandy Spring Road in Olney.

They were taken to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, the police said.
The police said that Viccharelli was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Ashton Road while the Toyota SUV was traveling westbound. "For reasons still under investigation, the two vehicles collided on a curve between Ashland Drive and Tucker Road," they said in a statement.

The collision remains under investigation. The police are asking anyone with information on this crash to contact the department's Collision Reconstruction Unit at (240) 773-6620.
