Urban Bar-B-Que at 2007 Chapman Ave. shuttered its doors on Sunday. David Calkins and Lee Howard own the restaurant.
"It has been our pleasure and honor to serve the MoCo community for 17+ years. We raised our children in this store, we partnered with numerous schools, churches and charities at this store, we have forged life-long friendships at this store," the two families posted on Facebook.

"They say nothing lasts forever, that isn't entirely true. We have all the wonderful memories we made in between our very first day (we probably served 10 people), right down to our very last order of Soul Rolls," they continued.
The Urban Soul Rolls — a crowd favorite — is a BBQ "egg-roll" with chopped brisket, caramelized onions, and three cheeses. The barbecue chain also serves chicken wings, street tacos, chili bowls, and other tasty dishes.
