ParkMobile Brings Contactless Parking Payment Option To Rockville
ParkMobile, the popular pay-by-phone parking service, is now available at more than 500 publicly metered spaces in Rockville.
ROCKVILLE, MD — The City of Rockville announced Monday a partnership with ParkMobile to provide contactless payments via a mobile app at more than 500 publicly metered spaces.
The popular pay-by-phone parking service replaces MobileNOW! as the parking app for city meters. MobileNOW! ceased operations in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We are happy to continue offering a contactless payment option in our city," said Rockville City Police Chief Victor Brito. "ParkMobile is the leading mobile parking app and is widely available in the Washington metropolitan area, making this an easy transition for our residents."

Open the app and enter the zone number posted on signs around the parking meter. Plug in some basic information about your car (i.e., license plate number and car make). Then, select the amount of time you want to park and start your session. You will get alerts when the parking session is about to expire, so you can decide whether to extend it.
