Pedestrian Bridge Over Rockville Pike Closed Through Fall: Metro
The pedestrian bridge over Rockville Pike will remain closed for repairs through the fall.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The pedestrian bridge that connects the Rockville Metro station to downtown Rockville over MD-355 will remain closed through the fall, WMATA said.
Due to a safety concern, the bridge was closed on June 17, 2020. Construction is set to begin around March 1 and will last about seven months, according to WMATA.
Metro has installed signs to notify customers of the closure and suggests that pedestrians use the following travel alternatives:

- Free shuttle bus service is available during Metrorail hours between Rockville station's Bus Bay D (West Bus Loop) and Monroe Street at East Montgomery Avenue
- Operates every five to 10 minutes
- To cross Rockville Pike at Park Road or Church Street, use marked crosswalks and follow pedestrian crossing signals
