Police ID Couple In Spencerville Murder-Suicide
Officers found the couple dead from "apparent gunshot wounds" on Saturday evening in their home, say Montgomery County police.

SPENCERVILLE, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department on Monday identified a man and woman from Spencerville who died Saturday in an apparent murder-suicide. The two died of "apparent gunshot wounds" at about 8 p.m. Saturday at their home in the 15100 block of Peach Orchard Road, the police said in a statement.
The police identified the 53-year-old woman as Bonny Jean Dibble, and the 56-year-old man as Stuart Michael Shamberger.
They were involved in a relationship and lived together in the home, the police said. "The facts and circumstances surrounding these shootings remain under investigation," the statement added.

The police said they found a firearm at the scene of the shootings, but released few other details.
They said they have been unable to confirm the motive for the shootings, but police detectives are investigating the incident as a domestic-related murder-suicide.
