Power Mostly Restored After Nor'easter: MoCo Officials
Thousands of Pepco customers get power restored after Friday's wind storm, say Montgomery County officials.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Friday's wind storm knocked out power to thousands of Montgomery County homes and businesses, but Pepco crews restored service to nearly all customers by Monday morning, say county officials. The utility company reported that 889 customers were still without power as of 10 a.m. Monday.
Pepco says that crews will keep working until service is restored to every customer, but some in the hardest hit areas may not get the lights back on until Tuesday. Wind gusts from Friday's nor'easter tore down dozens of trees throughout the Washington, D.C., area, sending them crashing into homes and cars and taking down power lines.
As of noon Monday, the Maryland Emergency Management Agency reported that about 1,300 customers still had power outages in Montgomery County. That figure includes customers of Potomac Edison and Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE).

Montgomery County is asking residents to report property damage from Friday's wind storm (here’s the link). The results will help determine whether Maryland meets the threshold for a federal disaster declaration. Gov. Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency Friday.
