Rockville Employers Rank High On 'Top Workplace For 2018' List
Two companies in Rockville made the top 20 of The Washington Post's new workplace rankings.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Two Rockville employers are among the top workplaces in the region, according to The Washington Post's newest ranking.
Century 21 New Millennium was ranked 10 on the list, while Emmes Corporation was ranked 20.
Century 21 is a real estate firm that urges agents to be "fun, fair and profitable." There are 19 DC-area locations and 947 local employees. The firm made almost $3 billion last year and hired about 200 people.

Emmes Corporation is a contract research organization that works to complete the massive clinical trials required for Food and Drug Administration approval, The Post says. The 599 local employees work with some of the leading researchers from government and industry.
"I am one small part of a very impressive research community that is making incredible advances in healthcare," an employee wrote in a survey, The Post reports.

The Post ranked 150 companies based on the highest ratings from employees. After the public nominated companies with at least 50 employees in the fall, 2,807 DC area employers were invited to take an employee survey. The survey looked at 24 factors, from effectiveness to managers and engagement. 341 companies in all took the survey.

- ActioNet (Vienna)
- MIL Corporation (Bowie, Md.)
- Century 21 New Millennium (DC, Maryland and Virginia)
