Rockville Farmers Market Opening Day Approaching

The opening day is May 13. Markets are held Saturdays through November 18.

From the City of Rockville: The Rockville Farmers Market returns Saturday, May 13 to give shoppers their pick of farm-fresh produce and more from regional grower/producers.


This year's market will include vendors offering fruits and vegetables, plants and flowers, herbs, baked goods, local beer and wine, knife sharpening, meat and coffee.

The market will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, through Nov. 18 in the jury parking lot at E. Jefferson (MD 28) and Monroe streets in Rockville Town Center.

The market participates in the Maryland Market Money Program. The program helps provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables for customers using the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, the Fruit and Vegetable Check Program and the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. Participants' benefits are matched up to $5 each week while funds are available. Organizations or individuals wishing to contribute to the Maryland Market Money program should email specialevents@rockvillemd.gov.
