Rockville Fire Department Sets 2016 Santa, Menorah Run Schedule

The Rockville Volunteer Fire Department will drive Santa on a firetruck through Christmas, and make a menorah run.

From The Rockville Volunteer Fire Department: Continuing a 50-year tradition, the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department will again be doing Santa Claus runs with its engine. Most runs will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Listen for the sirens and keep an eye out for the jolly fellow riding on the fire truck.

The department has driven Santa Claus around Rockville streets for more than 50 years. To ensure your best chances to see Santa, check the schedule, monitor RVFD Facebook for live updates, listen up for us, and congregate at intersections. Due to the increased size of fire apparatus, it has become impossible to drive down every street.

Residents are asked not to follow Santa in their car in attempts to get his attention; this is very dangerous and distracts the reindeer, which may cause an accident. If your neighborhood is not on the schedule, send a Facebook message or email to santa@rvfd.org and we will try to meet your request. There is no guarantee that requests can be accommodated.
