Severe Storms On The Way In Montgomery County Friday
There is a possibility of some strong to severe storms late this afternoon in Montgomery County, forecasters say.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — There is a possibility of some strong to severe storms late this afternoon, particularly in areas west and north of the D.C. area.
ABC 7 meteorologist Alex Liggitt tweeted that the storms would most likely show up after 4 p.m., and damaging winds are the primary threat.
The National Weather Service predicts "isolated to scattered showers & thunderstorms" in the area, with some having the potential to become strong to severe. However, the worst of these storms will cross western Maryland and eastern West Virginia.

This storm threat happens just before a cold front moves into our area, bringing milder, more spring-like temperatures this weekend as well as some showers.
