A 'Ton Of Rain' Headed Toward Montgomery County: Report
A huge line of rain is quickly making its way towards us Tuesday morning.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A "ton of rain" is on its way toward Montgomery County Tuesday morning, according to one report.
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang tweeted a radar snapshot at 6:46 a.m. that shows huge bands of intense rain on the way to the area from the south.
Flood warnings have already been issued in some parts of the region, and expect more to be issued as the day goes on.

Tuesday is expected to be the heaviest day of rain this week, but showers should continue for our area into Wednesday. Things will dry up for Thursday and Friday for the most part, but a front could bring in more rain this weekend.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 72. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 80. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
