Virtual Tributes Being Accepted For Veterans Day In Montgomery Co
Montgomery County is publishing virtual tributes of servicemembers in honor of Veterans Day, which is on Nov. 11.
ROCKVILLE, MD — The Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs is collecting virtual tributes of veterans living in or from Montgomery County. The tributes will be shared on the group's website for Veterans Day, which is Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.
To share your story, or the story of a friend or family member, email Carly.Clem@montgomerycountymd.gov and provide the following information:
- Servicemember or veteran's name
- Your name (if submitting on behalf of a servicemember or veteran) and your relationship to the individual
- Branch of service
- Years of service
- Era served (WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Global War on Terror, or other)
- Brief narrative of their service
- Photo(s) (preferably one during their service and one present-day)
