Woman Dies, 6 Injured In Rockville Crash: Police
An elderly woman died and six others were injured after their car struck a light pole in Rockville.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A North Carolina woman died and six others were injured after their car struck a light pole in Rockville Saturday afternoon, Montgomery County Police said.
The crash occurred at about 1:42 p.m. on Montrose Parkway in the area of East Jefferson Street.
Police said the driver of the Highlander — identified as Bartilyn Seneh, 30, of Frederick — was traveling east on Montrose Parkway and left the roadway.

Seneh and six passengers were transported to local hospitals, police said.
The front seat passenger was Rose Priscilla Ivy, 79, of Durham, North Carolina. Ivy succumbed to her injuries at the hospital Saturday night, police said.

Seneh has serious, non-life threatening injuries. A 33-year-old woman has serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The four remaining passengers — a 13-year-old female, a 10-year-old girl and two 3-year-old girls — suffered minor injuries.
