Community Bike Ride with Police, Public Safety Expo
Anne Arundel County police will conduct a community bike ride on Oct. 26 and team up with the fire department on Oct. 27 for a Public Safety Expo.
Safety is the theme for the weekend with two big community events in Anne Arundel County: a police-sponsored community bike ride on the Baltimore Annapolis Trail on Saturday and Public Safety Expo on Sunday.
The community bike ride on Saturday is the second event in recent months to help educate county residents about bike safety. Join the bike patrol unit in the parking lot of Bruster's at 801 Aquahart Rd. in Glen Burnie at 9 a.m. For more information, email bikepatrol@aacounty.org.
The 2013 Public Safety Expo will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fire Department training complex located at 415 Maxwell Frye Rd. near Veterans Highway in Millersville. The event is a joint effort by the Anne Arundel County Fire and Police Departments to educate residents about the capabilities of emergency services in the county. Don't miss fire trucks, police helicopters, K-9 units, child safety seat checks, and more.
