Meet New Anne Arundel County Planning And Zoning Director Aug. 1

SEVERNA PARK, MD — Anne Arundel County Executive Pittman will introduce recently hired Steven Kaii-Ziegler during a special town hall meeting Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. at Severna Park High School. The public is invited to attend and meet the new planning and zoning director who is a longtime resident of Anne Arundel County.

The meeting will include a question-and-answer session and questions may be submitted electronically prior to the meeting. Kaii-Ziegler will assume his new duties July 31. His latest position is as the director of the Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management where he supervised the adoption of small area plans and oversaw a major overhaul of the development review process. During his tenure, the county also adopted a Watershed Conservation District that down-zoned approximately 36,000 acres to preserve Mattawoman Creek.
