1. Feeling Like a Hot London: It’s safe to say that folks in the UK aren’t used to warm sunny weather. Proof: British Open officials blamed poor attendance at last weekend’s major on warm weather. How warm? It was in the 70s for most of the tournament, held near Edinburgh, Scotland, the Associated Press reported. Note to the Scots: Avoid DC in July. If you’re from the UK and happen to be visiting, the skies—if not the temperature—might remind you of home today.
The National Weather Service says to expect “patchy fog” (our favorite kind) before 8 a.m. followed by periods of showers and thunderstorms today and tonight and a high of 90.
